This piece was inspired by the many dinners over the years at Ramones Huachinago Restaurant on the beach across from the river from the Casa in Boca de Tomatlan, MX.

On the Path

This piece was inspired from a trip with Monica to Vietnam. We took a hike in the north region of Sapa and passed through this magical valley on our way to “Love Falls”. Felt like walking in a dream. The mountains are the Himalayas of Vietnam and past the distant ridges is China.

Morning Mist

Impression of the Falls

This piece began when I was doing a presentation on intention and improvisation on the Demo Stage at the 2023, 10th Annual Plein Air Convention and Expo in Colorado. I was slotted an hour and a half and of course I talked for about 45 minutes, leaving me only 45 minutes to paint. I arrived at a successful underpainting in that time however and then completed the work back in my studio in MA.
